In his fine writing about the  landscape of Romagna to His Holiness the
Pope Sisto Quinto, Giovanni Pietro Ghisleri described Roncofreddo as afertile land laying between Cesena and Savignano, particularly devoted
to olive oil and wine production, were big amounts of high quality
wines where made and sent away to be appreciated in the distant land
of Venice.
